A Winery of the Decade is Named

James Suckling, former senior editor of Wine Spectator and CEO and editor of JamesSuckling.com, has named his Winery of the Decade. The honor, which is quite notable given it is the culmination of a full ten years of Suckling’s tasting experience, went to Masseto, the Super Tuscan maker of one of the most sought after Merlots in the world. If you buy premium wine, no doubt you know that to manage to get an allotment of Masseto is quite the achievement. Suckling also named a Wine of the Decade: the 2017 Almaviva, a Cabernet Sauvignon based blend including Caménère, Petite Verdot and Merlot made in Chile. The wine is the result of a partnership between Chilé’s Concha y Toro and France’s Baron Philippe de Rothschild.
