How Will Bordeaux Age?

Fine wine and Bordeaux may still be synonymous, but between climate change leading to overripe fruit and the “commercial” appeal of the appellation being touted as more of a downside than an asset, it’s time to take stock of where the appellation headed. On the plus side, the region is going on several recent years of stellar vintages. 2015 is rated as being on par with 2009 or 2010. It will drink wonderfully in 10 years, although 20 may be pushing it. It will cost more too. Some merchants are caution that certain châteaus could use more moderate pricing across the board, pointing out falling exports to the United States and Hong Kong. Other châteaus are getting the quality for price ration right, though. Read on to find out which ones are!
