From a tiny appellation with a marginal climate and a complex creation method, the plush wine with its trademark toasty magic is, well, cause to make a toast. If you buy premium wine you are probably prepared to spend a pretty penny—but how high does the price tag run? In a round up of the most expensive wines, one may find that Champagne actually offers high value. Moët & Chandon Esprit de Siècle Brut has the highest average price at around 11, 000 dollars a bottle, while Louis Roederer Cristal takes spots two and three with its Gold Medallion Orfeves Limited Edition Brut Millésime and Vinothèque Millésime Brut Rosé.
