Napa Bouncing Back
Napa, was hit hard by the wildfires. As the epicenter of California fine wine production, this could have proved disastrous. Fortunately for the wineries, only 47 of the 330 members of the Napa Valley Vintners are reporting damage. The fires occurred near the end of harvest, when most of the grapes were off the vines. Cabernet Sauvignon, the late ripener was still hanging for many, and vintners will be on the lookout for smoke damage.
