Loïc Pasquet has finally released his 2015 vintage. Made in Bordeaux from pre-phylloxera vines, it is the world's most expensive wine, at $33,000 dollars. If you buy fine wine you'll no doubt be interested in this trailblazing bottle. The label is highly symbolic, representing his wine as hope for a region he believes no longer to be representative of the true terroir. He has a reputation for butting heads with the the INAO and CIVB for his denial of the classification system. He wants to bring back historic grapes that the modern winedrinker is not familiar with, such as Tarnay, Castet and Saint Macaire. It sounds unusual but Pasquet assures us "Fine wine is what I make".
