The Latest of the Bordeaux Market

First Growths are, well, the first thing many think of when it comes to Bordeaux and since they have slipped 39% from their peak performance in 2011, one has to wonder if this is indicative of the Bordeaux market as a whole. Looking at the Liv-ex indices, the Right Bank 100 has risen 7.6%. Angelus was the star performer, no doubt making gains due to graduating up to being a Premier Grand Cru Classé A in 2012. Los Fourtet was runner up as those who buy premium wine clamored for more after it received a perfect Parker score. While the First Growths may remain the first names in Bordeaux, the less known are starting to make a name for themselves.
