Lafite 2010 Falls to Lowest This year on Liv-ex Market

The slowing of Bordeaux sales is reflected by Chateau Lafite Rothschild 2010 hitting lower rates--now may be the time to consider it if you want to buy premium wine for a relative steal. On the Liv-ex wine market six bottles of the the famed Chateau's 2010 went for $3,990, the lowest it has been this year. The lowest ever was last December. At its height in June 2011 a case went for 12,500 pounds--reflecting a 98 point score from wine critic Robert Parker. That puts the year among the top five vintages of Lafite in the last fifteen years--perhaps time to stock up!
