Italy's Harvest Looks Hopeful
Heat plagued much of Italy this year. Each month had brief periods of extreme heat, but never fear, the end results were still excellent--good news if you are looking to Barolo to purchase fine wine. While the quality remained high, the hot vintage was not without consequences--many producers have reported smaller yields. Also, hail storms ravaged parts of the Piedmont, reducing crops further. Still, the end results from Aglianico to Nebbiolo varieties are hopeful!
