Chateau Lafite Rothschild has been known to be the pick of the litter since the advent of the 1855 Classification, which ranked top Bordeaux chateaux. It was the first of the First Growths. In 2010 it reached the pinnacle of pricing, releasing a case at $19, 400 dollars. The Chinese were the market driving the consumers to buy premium wine at premium prices. Since then prices have been slowly going down and now the chateau is going for about 55% less than it used to. If you've been waiting for a time to invest in Lafite, now may be your moment! The prices may be down but it promises to continue to show up as one of the world's tip wines.
