Italy's star is rising of late, so Wine-Searcher sat down with some of the country's most venerable winemakers to find out what they thought was behind the recent interest. One of Italy's attributes is its many unique varieties. Despite being a small county, it makes a wide variety of wines that are all idiosyncratic, and could not be made anywhere else.
