Hopes High For "Magnificent" Bordeaux Vintage

Harvest in Bordeaux has been magnificent, from Semillon to Cabernet Sauvignon, the weather allowed grapes to ripen perfectly as confirmed by the Bordeaux Wine Council (CIVB) saying the vintage had "ideal weather conditions". The secret to perfect grapes was a cool winter, warm dry spring, and a dry sunny September. If you buy fine wine you'll no doubt want to keep an eye on the market when the futures are released! While winemaker Gavin Quinney of Château Baudac said "That's not to say that they'll make the best wine we've made" but hopes are high that perfect grapes will make perfect wine.
