Bids Outweigh Offers on the Liv-ex
The bid to offer ration measured by Liv-ex has passed 100% for the first time since 2010, when the market was led by China's thirst to buy premium wine. This may be a sign of stability, but without China trending as a purchaser, what is causing the uptick in activity? The strengthening of the euro over sterling may be one factor at play. Also skewing the ratio might have been less offers on the market, sellers could have still been on holiday.
