The Daughters Gaja
The latest release of Gaja, maker of exquisite Barolo and Barbaresco, has been released and marks a new era for this premium Italian wine. Longtime winemaker Guido Revella left his post in 2013, leaving Gaja in the hands of the daughters Gaia and Rossana. They still consult their father, and say they are learning when to listen if he rebuffs their ideas. The wines are more delicate in Gaia’s hands, but the future looks bright for Gaja.
