En Premier Prices Predicted

Many Bordeaux merchants expect that en premier prices will fall. 2017 was not the worst year, but it doesn’t have the star power of 2015 and 2016. In addition, some consumers are choosing to wait and purchase wine in bottle, not en primeur, ever since the 2010 vintage. Despite an actively purchasing audience, it has been observed that a pattern of rising prices being checked by a lesser vintage. It is a pattern that has happened before, and likely will again.
