A New Name at an Old Domaine

by Westgarth Wines January 19, 2018

The chef de cave at Domaine Romanée-Conti is ceding his duties to the next generation. Since 1986, Bernard Noblet has overseen the vinification of the famed domaine, although he quickly points out that his efforts are always in partnership with the chef de culture, Nicolas Jacob, who oversees the vineyard. Taking over Noblet’s duties is Alexandre Bernier. At 37 years old he has been with DRC for 8 years, well equipped to usher this famed fine French wine into the future.
