by Westgarth Wines August 19, 2017

Chateau Troplong Mondot was the third classed growth Right Bank Bordeaux to sell this week. Insurance group SCOR was the one to buy this premium wine from owner Xavier Pariente. It has not been revealed how much the Chateau went for but guesses around 180 million Euros. Pariente will stay with the winery during the transition but Aymeric de Gironde might be leaving Cos d’Estournel to take on the position of director. The St-Emilion winery also has a bed and breakfast and restaurant that were included in the sale.
