Château Margaux 1900-2010 Direct From The Cellars: A Celebration of the Mentzelopoulos Era

On 17 October 2015 in New York, Sotheby’s Wine will present Château Margaux 1900-2010 Direct From The Cellars: A Celebration of the Mentzelopoulos Era.

This is the first time the historic First Growth has made a significant offering of wines direct from their cellars at auction. With a glittering history that has drawn admirers of fine wine from Thomas Jefferson to Ernest Hemingway to Chinese leader Hu Jintao, as well as a new generation of collectors from the Americas and Asia, Margaux is regarded as unique for the magnificence of both its wine and architecture. The sale is made up of 239 lots - ranging from a bottle of 1900 to a balthazar of 2009 - and is estimated at $1-1.4 million.
