Bordeaux Hat Trick
The reports on Bordeaux’s 2016 vintage are stellar, as were the previous two vintages. How does it differ? The winemakers describe it as being quintessentially Bordeaux and superbly balanced. 2015 may have been a slightly riper year, but if you want to buy fine wine with excellent weight ballasted with acid and freshness, 2016 may be your year. Reports from both everywhere in the Bordelaise from Pomerol to Pauillac are positive. In Sauternes, the 2016 botrytized wines are being spoken of as having excellent freshness. It looks like as long as you are dealing with 2016, you can have it all.
