Robert Parker, the man who those who buy fine wines have followed fervently, has decided to step down from his position at The Wine Advocate. Love or hate him, his influence both on what wines people buy and the style of wines produced cannot be denied. While he has been accused of being the driving force behind the homogenizing of wine, he is also the man who loves wine passionately. He taught the world to think critically about wine, and give it praise where praise was due.
